9 November – The North Shore Schizophrenia Society has been selected as the designated charity for the 9th Annual North Shore Mayor’s Golf Tournament.
The North Shore Schizophrenia Society has been selected as the designated charity for the 9th Annual North Shore Mayor’s Golf Tournament. The first $50,000 raised though this tournament will go toward addressing community issues through mental health education. This will include peer delivered family education and teacher training, Farsi speaking family education and a business and community education project.

9 September – More than $85,000 Available in Grants Assistance
In just four years the North Shore Community Foundation has more than doubled the amount of money it is able to offer in grants to North Shore Charities and non-profit groups.

5 January  –  Canadian Mental Health Association Selected as Designated Charity for 8th Annual North Shore Mayors’ Golf Tournament

The North and West Vancouver Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association has been selected as the designated charity for the 8th Annual North Shore Mayors’ Golf Tournament.  The first $50,000 raised through the tournament will be donated to assist in the development of a Child and Youth Mental Health Centre which will provide rapid access to evidence based treatment and support for North Shore children and youth suffering depression and anxiety.

18 September  –  More than $75,000 Available in Community Grants

For the second year in a row, the North Shore Community Foundation has been able to significantly increase the amount of money available for grants to North Shore charities and non-profit groups.  Applications for financial support are now being accepted from North Shore community programs and services, which must be run by registered charities, educational institutions, or government agencies.
