CAPILANO COMMUNITY SERVICES SOCIETY

Capilano Community Services Society (CCSS) is a registered non-profit serving communities across North and West Vancouver. Working in partnership with other community groups, organizations, and local Indigenous communities, CCSS is able to effectively identify service gaps, and collaborate with our partners to offer responsive programming and build capacity across the North Shore.

VANCOUVER HUMANE SOCIETY

The Vancouver Humane Society is dedicated to exposing animal abuse and assisting individuals, businesses and governments to end animal suffering, cruelty and exploitation.

The North Shore Disability Resource Centre connects people with special needs with programs and services that help them live with dignity, freedom and joy.

Family services of the north shore

For over 60 years, the staff at Family Services of the North shore has provided counselling, support, education, and volunteer engagement for families and individuals. Services are available to all residents of the North Shore regardless of race, gender, religion, culture, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender identity or physical ability.

HOLLYBURN FAMILY SERVICES SOCIETY

Hollyburn Family Services provides quality therapeutic and support services that strengthen child, youth and family functioning.

Athletics4kids ensures that all BC children, regardless of socioeconomic status, can participate in organized sport by providing families with financial assistance.

pATHWAYS SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESS

Pathways Serious Mental Illness Society (SMIS) is a pioneering, volunteer-led and membership-based family support organization working on the front lines to deliver programs and services centered around education, support, and advocacy to families, significant others and friends of a loved one with a mental illness across British Columbia.

VANCOUVER Orphan kitten rescue association

VOKRA’s mission is to end cat overpopulation and homelessness.
Their grant will go towards rescuing, rehabbing and carrying for unwanted and homeless kittens, and rehoming with loving families including fund support for veterinary clinic expenses.

North shore Keep well society

Keep Well is a free exercise and wellness program that provides fitness, health awareness, wellness education and social contact to help older adults lead active and independent lives.

Capilano University Centre for childhood studies

Using a child-inspired approach, the Centre will be Western Canada’s only degree-granting, purpose-designed, integrated Centre of Early Childhood Care, research, and Lab School education.

PARKGATE COMMUNITY SERVICES SOCIETY

We offer unique low-cost and no-cost programs that bring people of all ages together. Everyone is welcome to join us – to participate in programs, chat with our staff, volunteer, enjoy a community meal, or just be with friends and neighbours.

NS RESTORATIVE JUSTICE SOCIETY

Restorative Justice is a peaceful approach to crime and conflict that focuses on dialogue, reparation and healing. The North Shore Restorative Justice Society provides restorative practices and processes to support children, youth, adults and elders on the North Shore.

VOLUNTEER CANCER DRIVERS SOCIETY

The Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society is a not-for-profit organization providing complimentary transportation for lower mainland residents battling cancer. When you are in need of transportation to care we are here to support you with safe, timely and efficient service. We work to raise the funds necessary to meet expenses associated with meeting cancer patient needs.
